The location is perfect, right in the heart of district 6, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops. The staff were friendly and accommodating, giving us great restaurant recommendations. Our executive room was spacious with a comfortable king bed, a rare treat in europe. We particularly loved the buffet breakfast each morning.

The Hotel is in an excellent location: in close walking distance to cafe life, historical points of interest, shopping, and museums. In addition, the hotel was clean and well-staffed.

We had a great room on the top floor. Bed was comfortable. Area fantastic.
The wi fi conection was an extra cost and you had to re-pay every 24 hours. It disconnected every night at midnight. Sometimes we were in late at night and still working with the computer and it would disconnect.

The hotel is centrally located in a market area. The staff are helpful, the room comfortable. Air Conditioning was great as temp reached 100 degrees F. Close to Seine, bus line, metro stops. Excellent value for comfort and ease of enjoying the city.
Bathtub/shower -- the bathtub is very deep, no texture on the bottom of the tub makes it very slippery! Purchased a bath mat to use in the tub to make it safe.

Staff was professional and hotel is impeccably clean and newly remodelled! Had well-appointed room with 2 windows, functional bathroom plus wine for a very pleasant stay. The location was absolutely perfect, with Semilla nearby, where we could eat.

We have stayed in St. Germaine Des Pres a few times before and wouldn't stay anywhere else! The hotel is located in the perfect location, surrounded by adorable brasseries, shops and galleries. Also, the desk staff was always very kind and accomadating, answering our many questions and following through with requests for dinner and such.
Having stayed at the Hotel Du Seine 15 years ago, we were eager to go back. Unfortunately we felt that the hotel had "tired" over the years and was quite plain compared to our memories (and other family who had stayed there years ago). The bathroom had mold growing in the shower . The room given to us was also quite small and unimpressive. I seem to have remembered a much nicer room years ago. We would choose a different hotel in the same area next time.

A short walk from the river, across the bridge is the Louvre, so you can stay Left Bank and walk to Right Bank. We had a triple room previously on 6th floor and that was quieter with distant view of Eiffel Tower. The triple room 44 was on street side so could not have windows open on a Friday night. The room is large and the beds very comfortable. No kettle but offer of tea tray from reception.
Street side room noisy on a Friday night. Could hear television from next room. If the hotel was anywhere else they would not get away with the bathroom window catch being broken so would not close, the net curtains needing a wash and a cracked toilet cistern. Would we stay there again for 230 euros? Quite likely because we were able to walk easily from north of Opera after our meal and avoid Chatelet metro.

The location was good, on a one way narrow street. Lots of places to eat near by. About mid-way between River Seine and St. Germain. Air conditioner worked very well, but our highs were only in the low to mid 70'S.
Smallest elevator/lift I've ever seen. Narrowest hallways I've ever seen. Breakfast in a very small room was 12 Euros. 30 Euros for a family of 3 - much too expensive.

Location, location, location.
Would have loved a little bar fridge in the room.

Friendliness of the staff, good breakfast service, availability of international newspapers (Herald Tribune, Financial Times). My room on the courtyard side qas quiet despite the Fete de la musique.

Consider asking for a courtyard-facing room for a quieter experience, as street-side rooms can be noisy.
